MSc programme in Nature Management (Landscape, Biodiversity and Planning)
Admission Requirements
The following BSc graduates are accepted in the programme:
BSc graduates in Biology from the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, including basic knowledge on environmental law (specified below), e.g.
- LOJF10261 Miljø- og planlovgivning – natur og vand
BSc in Biology from EU countries and associated countries including basic knowledge on environmental law (specified below)
BSc graduates in Natural Resources from Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen
- with core module courses in Nature Management
- with core module courses in Environmental Science
- with core module courses in Environmental Economics
- with core module courses in Plant Science
Forest and Landscape Engineer from Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen
BSc graduates in Landscape Architecture from Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen
BSc graduates in Agricultural Economics from Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen, with an additional requirement for 7.5 credits within ecology (specified below), e.g.
- LBIB10171 Naturressourcer og økologi
- LBIB10127 Dyrs og planters diversitet
In order to be eligible for admission, other BSc graduates must have completed a BSc programme containing elements from all three dimensions: ecology, species knowledge (plant and animal) and environmental law.
In practice, there is a minimum requirement for the number of credits within each of the three academic areas:
- Ecology – at least 7.5 credits
- Species knowledge – at least 7.5 credits
- Environmental law – at least 7.5 credits
Ecology: Scientific competences within and knowledge of the structure and function of ecosystems. Relevant academic areas including e.g. plant physiology, population and community ecology, systems ecology, soil science, and biogeochemistry.
Species knowledge: Fundamental knowledge and competences within botany, zoology and concepts of species diversity.
Environmental law: Knowledge on laws and regulations of land-use and protection of nature and the environment.
